Remember Sports
Artist: Remember Sports, Youbet, The She’s
Venue: Lodge Room
Date: 4/17/26
Remember Sports headlined a packed Lodge Room on a Friday night, fresh off a Joshua Tree show the night before and still full of energy for LA. The Philadelphia band's newest record The Refrigerator, out earlier this year on Get Better Records, is a Saturn return album in the truest sense: messy, cathartic, and honest in the way that only comes from having survived something. Live, that energy translated immediately. The crowd moved the entire set, the mosh pit finding its rhythm early and not letting go. Between songs, Carmen Perry joked that some of their older songs are now old enough to be underage drinking at parties, not quite 21 but getting there. The Linda Lindas were in the crowd, which felt exactly right.
youbet opened with the lo-fi indie rock warmth that has made them a cult favorite since their debut Compare and Despair in 2020. The Brooklyn-based project of Nick Llobet and Micah Prussack has a self-titled album dropping May 1st on Hardly Art, and the new material sounded sharp and confident.
The She's, a San Francisco band who have been making music together since their early teens, opened the night and set the tone perfectly.
