What’s a “retouched image”?
Detailed edit: lighting, skin tone, flyaways, etc. Nothing plastic — just polished and natural. What’s a “proof gallery”?
An online preview of the best photos. You choose your favorites to be retouched. What kind of events do you cover?
I photograph community gatherings, performances, pop-ups, workshops, protests, and more. If you’re creating something worth remembering, I’d love to document it.What standards do you use for pricing?
I price using ASMP/APA best-practice guidelines and a Cost-of-Doing-Business (CODB) model.
1) Creation Fee = the shoot itself
Covers my time, skill, gear, editing, and overhead.2) Usage License = how the photos can be used
You’re paying for permission to use the images in specific ways. What’s included by default (for shows/events):
Web & social for the venue and the artist (organic posts, website, newsletter).
Editorial/press about that event (blogs, online articles).
No exclusivity (I can also show the work in my portfolio).
What needs an expanded license (priced case-by-case):
Paid ads/boosted posts, billboards, posters, print ads.
Album/cover art, Spotify/Apple canvases, merch, or commercial packaging.
Third-party brands using images (sponsors, labels, promoters not party to the shoot).
Why I set rates this way:
It keeps pricing fair and sustainable for artists and cultural workers, and it’s a standard approach venues and editors recognize (ASMP/APA/CODB).How do I book or ask questions?
Just email: booking@jomageneciran.com or DM @ka.jomashoots — I’m happy to talk details or customize a shoot for you.
